SCA Americas Headquarters
Challenge
When SCA decided to take 85,000 SF of space in the then under construction Cira Centre’ at 2929 Arch Street, they had more than a budget to maintain, they also had employee retention to worry about.
Solution
When SCA made the decision to relocate their America’s Headquarters from Eddystone, PA to Philadelphia they knew that they would need to create excitement and enthusiasm with the employees to ensure they would all make the move. The Project Team led by Jackie Sweeney, collaborated with SCA to form a Move Team consisting of departmental representation that was tasked with employee communication. SCA took it a step further and created a communications team that provided insight to the construction process and energized the employees via newsletters, email blasts, bus tours, and public transportation know how.
In addition to employee retention, SCA also faced a budget bust. Through value engineering and the introduction of a competitive bid process the contract cost were reduced to within the established budget.
