Drexel University URBAN Center
Challenge
Drexel University embarked on a ‘fast tracked’ construction schedule for the renovation of the iconic Robert Venturi building into a new home for the Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts & Design. Construction continued until the first day of classes leaving no time for owner furnished work to take place.
Solution
Working closely with the construction team, a detailed schedule to complete network connectivity, computer lab set up, furniture installation and a relocation plan was developed on a room by room basis. Often working through an ongoing construction zone the project was successfully completed just in time for the first day of classes.
+Our largest concerns were protecting the equipment from construction dust, having network connectivity throughout the building and the computer design labs operational for the first day of classes. Jackie worked closely with construction team to integrate our work into the construction schedule on a room by room basis. We wouldn’t have made the deadline if we didn’t have her on our team.
